2012_Lexus_LFA_front_right_quarter_panel Lexus has released official pictures of it’s first supercar, the 2012 Lexus LFA!  Toyota claims the 2012 Lexus LFA can hit 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 204 mph.  The Lexus LFA accomplishes these numbers with a 4.7 liter V-10 engine which produces 552 horsepower and 354 ft-lbs of torque.  Did we mention the V-10 redlines at 9,000 rpm’s?  The curb weight of the 2012 LFA is around 3,300 pounds, 65 percent of the body is made from carbon fiber.  The Lexus LFA will be fitted with a 6 speed auto-clutch manual which isn’t quite up to par with other supercars weilding dual-clutch boxes but it is still fairly quick.  The 2012 Lexus LFA’s price will be an astonishing $400,000 but Toyota says they will lose money on every one of the cars sold!  Only 500 Lexus LFA’s will be built and Toyota admits they will hand select a large number of buyers to maximize visibility and marketing value.  The release date of the 2012 Lexus LFA is set for winter 2011.  Check back with us for more updates regarding the 2012 Lexus LFA supercar here at Used Car Buying Advice.
